九 日

今 朝 把 酒 复 惆 怅
忆 在 杜 陵 田 舍 时。

明 年 九 日 知 何 处
世 难 还 家 未 有 期。

Jiu Ri

Jin zhao ba jiu fu chou chang
Yi zai du ling tian she shi.                                                                                                   Ming nian jiu ri zhu he chu
Shi nan huan jia wei you qi.

Double Ninth Day

Daybreak, holding a cup of wine and again melancholy
Here recall the fields and seasons of Duling.                                                               By the Double Ninth day next year, do not know where we will be living
With society broken and in turmoil, yet to have the time to go back home.

Double Ninth Day:  Festival held on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month. Also known as the Chrysanthemum Festival, and the Mid-Autumn Celebrations.

Duling: District within the city of Zhengzhou, Henan Province.
