饮 酒： 二 十 首
清 晨 闻 叩 门
倒 裳 往 自 开。
问 子 为 谁 与？
田 父 有 好 怀。
壶 浆 远 见 候
疑 我 与 时 乖。
褴 缕 茅 檐 下
未 足 为 高 栖。
一 世 皆 尚 同
愿 君 汩 其 泥。
深 感 父 老 言
禀 气 寡 所 谐。
纡 辔 诚 可 学
违 己 讵 非 迷。
且 共 欢 此 饮
吾 驾 不 可 回。

Wen zi wei shei yu ?
Tian fu you hao huai.
Hu jiang yuan jian hou
Yi wo you shi guai

Silent morning, hear knocking at the door
Put on my clothes wrong side out.
I ask, “Who is there?”
Old farmer calls to make sure I am okay.
He brought his thick pot of wine with him
He wonders, disbelieves I am such a recluse.
And that I live underneath such ragged and tattered thatch
A person of my advanced learning should not have to endure this.
Most everyone spend their lives valuing the herd
He hopes I change and get back into the palace affairs.
Deep gratitude for the words of my elders
I have been endowed with a spirit that few can share.
I cannot simply follow the common and easy way
Going against myself could be done, but is not my way.
Let’s just be here and now drinking this wine
I can not go back to the worldly affairs.
