Letter Far Away: (A Few Years of Traveling)
Run Zhou Zuo, Dai Ren Ji Yuan: Shao Nian You
Qu nian xiang song yu hang men wai
Fei xue si yang hua.
Jin nian chun jin yang hua si xue
You bu jian hai jia.

Feng lu tou chuang sha.
Qia si heng e lian shuang yan

Runzhou Composition, My Surrogates Send This Letter Far Away: (A Few Years of Traveling)
Last year we left each other at the Yuhong city gate
Snow flies like the willow tree flowers.
This year at springtime, most willow tree flowers are like snow
Still have yet to see my family.
Drinking wine, roll up the bamboo curtain to invite in the moonlight
Wind and dew penetrate the gauze window.
Exactly like the Goddess of the Moon and a pair of love-crazed swallows
Their lucid and bright reflections decorate the slanting roof beam.
Notes:
(A Few Years of Traveling): The name of the poem’s melody.
Runzhou: District of the city of Zhengjiang, Jiangsu Province.
Goddess of the Moon: Legendary lady who swallowed a magical elixir and then flew to the moon.
