The university is located in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province. It features packaging education. It is the first member unit accepted by the International Packaging Association (IAPRI) in my country. It is the director unit of the Packaging Education Committee of the China Packaging Federation. It is also the only vice president unit of the China Packaging Federation and the China Packaging Technology Training Center among all universities in the country.

The school has Hunan Province's "world-class cultivation discipline" materials science and engineering, and "domestic double first-class construction discipline" design; four disciplines of materials science, engineering science, chemistry, biology and biochemistry are among the top 1% in the ESI global ranking.

Life in this University

1. International students experience Spring Festival cultural activities

International students participated in various games: quizzes on traditional Chinese cultural knowledge, writing the word "Fu", paper-cutting window decorations, making dumplings, lucky draws, etc. International students learned traditional customs and experienced the unique style of the Chinese New Year through interaction, and felt the fun and traditional wisdom of the "Chinese New Year" in all aspects.

2. International students celebrate Chinese New Year with teachers

On New Year's Eve in 2025, several leaders and teachers of the school celebrated the New Year with 27 undergraduates, 3 graduate students and 20 international students who stayed on campus during the winter vacation.

3. University leaders visit international students who stay on campus during winter vacation

During this winter vacation, nearly 40 international students will stay in school. The leaders of the college came to the international student apartment to visit and comfort the international students who stayed in school during the winter vacation, and distributed red envelopes and gifts to them.
