Xiang sheng wu mei
Chu nu yao zhi tian yu xi.

Crescent moon into low clouds, weather perfect.
Very light breeze through emerald green curtains
Soft Wan Zhuan songs differ from the rough Liangzhou music.
Fragrances emerge from dancing sleeves
Heaven gave to the Chu ladies waists and limbs that are thin.
Sweat on white powder, gets redone again and again
After wine and relaxation, they do not feel cold.

Wan Zhuan songs: Songs that are sweet and agreeable, mild and indirect.
Liangzhou: Ancient name for the modern-day city of Guangzhou. May have been used during the Late Liang Dynasty period (c. 907-923).
Chu ladies: Women from the nation state of Chu, which existed during the Zhou Dynasty (c. 1030-223 BC)
